Hodag Water Shows (HWS) was organized and held its first show at Hodag Park on the shores of Boom Lake in 1971.  Since 1971 HWS has been entertaining visitors at free shows twice a week featuring some of the area’s top water skiers. Every Sunday at 7:00 pm from mid-June until late August, plus the 4th of July, HWS performs a show that features acts such as ballet, jump, swivel skiing, trick skiing, barefooting, doubles, trios, wakeboarding, and pyramid.

Members range in age from 6 to almost 50 and some of the members have been with the team for more than 30 years.  Concessions such as hot dogs, walking tacos, nachos, cotton candy, chips, beverages and many other snacks are available at each show.

Thank you for a great 2025 Summer Season!

The Hodag Water Shows waterski team wrapped up its

2025 Summer Season with it's final show in early August.

It was a great summer with no Sunday cancelations because

of weather, our team grew, and our skiers and volunteers

all had fun!

Our Learn-to-Ski program was great and we hope to see

many of those skiers return in years to come, along with

our veteran skiers.

Thank you to our skiers, our volunters, our fans and the

community for supporting us for yet another summer down

at Hodag Park!

We can't wait to see what next summer looks like, especially with the new splash pad going in near our location! â€‹It's never too early to start thinking about next summer. If you are interested in joining the team — either as a skier or volunteer, reach out to us via Facebook or email!
