Hodag Water Shows (HWS) was organized and held its first show at Hodag Park on the shores of Boom Lake in 1971. Since 1971 HWS has been entertaining visitors at free shows twice a week featuring some of the area’s top water skiers. Every Sunday and Wednesday at 7:00 pm from mid-June until late August, plus the 4th of July, HWS performs a show that features acts such as ballet, jump, swivel skiing, trick skiing, barefooting, doubles, trios, wakeboarding, and pyramid.
Members range in age from 6 to almost 50 and some of the members have been with the team for more than 30 years. Concessions such as hot dogs, walking tacos, nachos, cotton candy, chips, beverages and many other snacks are available at each show.

Today, Hodag Water Shows announced the debut of a partnership
with Redman Realty of Rhinelander, showcasing “Life On The Lake”
through on-water shows, branded social media content and signage.
Hodag Water Shows begins is summer schedule of programming
with back-to-back shows this Sunday (July 3) and Monday (July 4) at
Hodag Park beginning at 7pm.
Attendees will see the performance of daredevil and high-
adrenaline acts, in addition to the introduction of new team
members. Shows will be held each Sunday evening throughout
the remainder of the summer.
“We are so excited to bring the show back this year with our veterans and new members,” said Cory Dellenbach, President of Hodag
Water Shows. “Through partnership with Redman Realty, we’ll be showing what life on the lake is all about; making life-long memories
with family and friends on the water.”

For over 75 years, Hodag Water Shows has been focused on building family and community through safe access to water-sports for our youth. Made possible only via the dedication of volunteers and local sponsors, the team has instructed hundreds of children to ski, instilling in them confidence and achievement while training them to operate in a team environment.
